HA14 Task 10 - Evaluation

Overall, I was pleased with this project. I was able to build, rig and animate the puppet to a satisfactory standard, although I struggled a bit to stay on schedule. I feel like I gave myself too little time to create the animations, which resulted in a slightly rushed and lesser quality walking/running animation.

Building the puppet was simple enough, as it was mostly positioning the limbs, and copy-pasting them, then adding the bones and weight maps to each part. Inserting the puppet into layout and connecting the weight maps and bones together was also easy, and made it easier to move the limbs about without affecting other parts.

I think my storyboard was done well, and if someone looks at it they will be able to accurately create my animations themselves.

The main issue I encountered was with rendering the completed animations. I had to render some multiple times because they wouldn't save, wouldn't play, or the video messed up. Eventually, after experimenting with the options, I managed to find a way to render them successfully, although each video has a tiled pattern on it, which very slightly obscures the view.

When it came to showing how I built and rigged the puppet, I found it slightly more difficult to get screenshots for it, as I didn't save different versions as much as I should have.
