HA14 Task 03 – 3D Gameplay Animation Research
The above video shows a walk cycle animation for a 3D human character.
The way the character moves is interesting, because there is a lot of swinging and bouncing to his steps, which means the creator of the animation must have used a lot of bones to rig it. Although my animations will involve a 5-legged puppet, I feel like I could use or learn from some of the movements that are in this video.
This video shows another 3D human character, but this time doing a jumping animation. I found this interesting because I will be doing a jump animation of my own, but with the 5-legged puppet. The way the character crouches before springing forward has helped me to understand how I could produce a similar animation of my own.
